It took me a little longer than I would have wanted but I have finally been able to add screen captures as well as four clips of the latest episode of Royal Pains 2×11: “Big Whoop” to the gallery and video archive respectively. Yet another side of Emily’s as it turns out quite complex character was revealed. There was a little tension between her and Hank over the right medical treatment of a patient – but not as much as I expected. The two were still very much happy with each other when the episode ended, despite Evan’s plans to break them apart. Emily is off to see her family in San Diego so Anastasia will probably not be featured in next week’s summer finale.

Last night’s was another entertaining episode of Royal Pains. I really like the development Anastasia’s character is given. It’s nice to see Emily grow in trust. Screen captures of episode 2×09 “Frenemies” have been added to the gallery. There are no videos yet but they will be added soon.

“Comfort’s Overrated” Caps Added

I really enjoyed last night’s episode of Royal Pains “Comfort’s Overrated”. Not as much of Anastasia as I would have liked to see but the scenes she did have were great. I think it’s fantastic that we’re getting to see a softer more sensible side to doctor Peck. Screen captures of the episode have already been added to the gallery. Video clips will be added some time later today.

Anastasia will also be in next week’s episode 2×08 “The Hankover”. Looks like it’s going to be a fun episode. You can have a look at the trailer for next week on the USA’s website.

“Mano a Mano” Media Added.

I have added four clips and around 130 screen captures of last night’s episode of Royal Pains 1×05 “Mano a Mano”. Anastasia had some wonderful scenes with Reshma Shetty (Divya). It is such a joy to see her in a totally different role. At the end of the episode Emily announces her plans to open her own concierge practice in the Hamptons – effectively making her competition for Hank and his team. There won’t be a new episode of Royal Pains next week but the show will return July 15 with “In Vino Veritas”. From the episode description it is not clear whether Anastasia will be in the episode or not so I guess we will have to watch and find out.

Anastasia is brilliant as Emily on Royal Pains. After last week’s short introduction to her character Thursday’s episode 1×04 “Medusa” devoted a lot more screen time to Doctor Emily Peck. I really like her character so far. It is nice to see Anastasia explore her comedic site a little more after the more drama focused Trauma. Divya and Emily will continue to clash in next week’s episode “Mano a Mano”. I have added screen captures and four clips of Anastasia in episode four. You can find them in the gallery and video archive respectively.

Months after Trauma has ended I have finally gotten around to making clips of episode 1×16 Frequent Fliers. I really like how Nancy’s relationship to her father is explored in the episode. Now that those five clips have been added all that is missing is clips from the finale – which will hopefully be added over the weekend.

Don’t forget to watch Anastasia on Royal Pains tonight. Caps and clips will be added tomorrow.

Much to my surprise Anastasia was already featured in yesterday’s episode of “Royal Pains”, episode 2×03 Keeping Faith. Imdb doesn’t list her until the next episode. Her character, Emily Peck, was introduced during the last two minutes of the episode. It’s nice to see Anastasia back on television so soon after Trauma has ended. It will be interesting to learn more about her character over the following episodes. From the description of episode four it seems like Anastasia will have a lot more screen time in next week’s episode “Medusa”. For all of you who did not catch Anastasia’s appearance I have added some 50 screen captures of her two scenes as well as two HD video clips so you can watch her in action.

I have added another photoshoot to the gallery. It is from a few years ago. Also, tonight there is another new episode of “Royal Pains” on USA. Anastasia won’t be on the show for another week.

“Solitary Man” Update

“Solitary Man” has been on limited release in the US for about two weeks now. The film stars Michael Douglas, Mary-Louise Parker, Jenna Fischer, Jesse Eisenberg, Danny Devito and Susan Sarandon. Anastasia only plays a very small role. From what I can guess from the tailer her character Carol is a friend of Jenna Fischer’s, who her father has slept with.

“Royal Pains” Update

The second season of “Royal Pains” premiered on USA last night. Anastasia won’t be in the show until episode four (24 June) entitled “Medusa”. Here is a little description of the episode:

Boris flies Hank to another country, where he and another doctor research potentially life saving gene therapies. Back in the Hamptons, Hank’s temporary replacement, Dr. Emily Peck (Anastasia), rubs Divya the wrong way.

The Royal Pains cast has been doing lots of press recently to promote the new season and Anastasia came up in some of the interviews so here is what her co-stars had to say about Anastasia.

The producers mentioned how Anastasia Griffith had dropped her accent because you got yours. Can you do American?

Reshma: So, I didn’t know she was British. I saw her in Damages and I loved her in Damages. And when she starts her talking—I remember my first thought was, “Is she making fun of me? Like what’s going on?”

And then suddenly she was like, “I’m a British actress.”
I had no idea. And she goes to a coach and she does an incredible job. But there are moments that she’ll go out and as we all do, when you got to say ‘schedule’ and ‘water’ and ‘can’t’, it’s really—like the worst for me is ‘can’. It’s really difficult to say that in a sentence.

I was a fan of hers on Damages. I love that show, and she was wonderful on that show, so I was thrilled when I found out she was going to play Emily Peck. And so far, I mean, I only know as much as I’ve shot, and there have been two aspects to her character. She’s a roadblock sort of on all fronts. She’s a roadblock both career wise because she is a doctor, and she presents a certain threat to Hank in the Hamptons. She becomes a potential competitor in the concierge medicine industry, so she’s my competition and then she’s also going to be maybe Jill’s competition, because there’s a little bit of something going on. Right now, it’s just innuendo, but we’ll see what happens in the next episode. I haven’t gotten a copy of it yet, so I know as much as you do about where it’s going to go. But she’s definitely a roadblock on many fronts.
